These terms govern your use of the Daily Purpose app. By creating an account you agree to them. Daily Purpose is operated by Sylvanus Edi. Questions: support@dailypurpose.app.
Your account
You need an account to use the app. You must be at least 13 years old, give an email address you control, and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Edit profile → Delete account. Deletion is permanent and takes your goals, check-ins, streaks and saved items with it.
What the app is — and is not
Daily Purpose offers motivational writing and a habit tracker. It is not therapy, counselling, or medical, psychological or financial advice, and it is not a substitute for a professional. Nothing in the app is a treatment for any condition. If you are struggling with your mental health, please speak to a qualified professional or your local emergency services.
Subscriptions
The app is free to use with limits: two active goals and three saved items. Daily Purpose Premium removes those limits and unlocks the full library, full check-in history and custom reminders.
- Premium is offered as a monthly or annual auto-renewing subscription. Current prices are shown in the app before you buy, in your own currency.
- New subscribers may be offered a 7-day free trial. If you do not cancel before it ends, it converts to a paid subscription.
- Payment is taken by Apple or Google when you confirm the purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends.
- Manage or cancel a subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. We cannot cancel it for you.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google, not by us, under their policies. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
We may change prices or what Premium includes. Changes apply from your next renewal, and we will tell you first.
Content
Quotes and stories in the app are provided for personal, non-commercial use. Quotations are attributed to the people who said them; those words belong to their authors. The written material and the app itself remain ours. You may not copy, resell or redistribute the library.
What you write — your goals and check-in notes — stays yours. You grant us only the permission needed to store it and show it back to you.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to break into the app or its systems, interfere with other users, scrape or bulk-extract the library, or use the app for anything unlawful. We may suspend or close an account that does.
Availability
We try to keep the app working but cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue the app altogether, we will give reasonable notice and refund any unused portion of a prepaid subscription where the law requires it.
Liability
The app is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for any decision you make based on content in the app. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to what you paid us in the previous twelve months.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date above shows the last change, and we will tell you in the app before a material change takes effect. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts there. If you are a consumer elsewhere, you keep any rights your local law gives you.
