Privacy Policy
Daily Purpose pairs a daily quote and story with a two-goal check-in habit. This policy describes exactly what the app stores, why, and who else can see it. It covers the Daily Purpose iOS and Android apps.
Who we are

What we collect
Account
Your email address and a password. Passwords are hashed by our authentication provider and are never visible to us.
Answers you give during onboarding
Your name, an optional bio, your age range, gender, relationship status, and your answers about what motivates you, what you struggle with, how you cope, what triggers your motivation, and what you want from the app. You also choose the topics your daily quote and story are drawn from.
Some of these answers describe your wellbeing and personal circumstances. They exist only to choose which content you are shown. They are never used for advertising, never sold, and never shared with anyone outside the services listed below.
What you create in the app
Your goals and the reason you gave for each, your daily check-ins and the notes you write in them, your reminder times, your streak history, the quotes and stories you save, and the ratings you give to quotes.
Purchases
Whether you have an active subscription, and the associated transaction records. Payment is handled entirely by Apple or Google — we never see your card details.
What we do not collect
We do not use analytics or advertising software. The app contains no tracking SDKs. We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, or device identifiers for advertising, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
Why we hold it
To give you an account you can sign back into on any device; to choose which quote and story to show you; to keep your goals, check-ins and streaks so your history survives changing phones; and to know whether your subscription is active. That is all.
Who else can see it
These companies process data on our behalf so the app can work:
- Supabase — hosts the database and handles sign-in. Everything listed above apart from purchases is stored there.
- RevenueCat — records subscription status. It receives your account identifier and your purchase history, not your onboarding answers or your check-ins.
- Resend — delivers account emails such as confirmations and password resets. It receives your email address.
- Apple and Google — process payments and, in future, deliver notifications.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers. We disclose data otherwise only where the law requires it.
Where it is held
Our providers operate servers in the United States and elsewhere, so your data may be processed outside your country. They are bound by contract to protect it.
How long we keep it
For as long as your account exists. Delete your account and everything above is deleted with it — see below. Backups held by our providers are overwritten on their own schedules, within 30 days.
Deleting your account
In the app, go to Profile → Edit profile → Delete account. This deletes your account and, with it, your profile, onboarding answers, goals, check-ins, streaks, ratings and saved items. It cannot be undone. Records that Apple or Google hold about a purchase are theirs, not ours, and are governed by their policies.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see the data we hold about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, or to object to how we use it. You can correct most of it yourself in the app, and delete all of it as described above. For anything else, email privacy@dailypurpose.app and we will respond within 30 days.
Children
Daily Purpose is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above, and tell you in the app before any material change takes effect.
